PlantHealth ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
- Account information: Your email address and password when you create an account.
- Plant photos: Images you upload for plant identification and disease detection.
- Plant collection data: Plant names, care schedules, watering history, and notes you create.
- Usage data: App usage patterns, feature interactions, and crash reports to improve the app.
- Device information: Device type, OS version, and push notification token for care reminders.
How We Use Your Information
- To identify plants and diagnose diseases using the Plant.id API.
- To store and sync your plant collection across devices via Supabase.
- To send watering and care reminders via push notifications.
- To manage your subscription via StoreKit 2 / RevenueCat.
- To improve app performance and fix bugs.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Plant.id API — plant identification from photos (web.plant.id/privacy-policy)
- Apple StoreKit / App Store — subscription management (apple.com/privacy)
- RevenueCat — subscription analytics (revenuecat.com/privacy)
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure Supabase servers. Plant photos submitted for identification are processed by the Plant.id API and are subject to their data retention policies. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and follow industry-standard security practices.
Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and plant collection will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen in the app.
- Correction: Update your account information at any time.
- Portability: Export your plant collection data on request.
Children's Privacy
PlantHealth is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notice.
